About Noctis

Noctis — of the night
Jay is the founder and designer behind Noctis.
With a background in graphic and web design, Jay’s work has always centred on atmosphere, composition, and how people experience spaces, both visually and emotionally. Before Noctis, Jay owned and ran Crystal & Stone, a crystal shop and community that connected people through ritual, space, and shared meaning.
That experience shaped a deep understanding of how objects live with people over time, not just how they look, but how they feel. Noctis grew from that foundation, as a more personal and focused exploration of light, form, and restraint.
Each piece is designed with the same intention: to exist quietly within a space, and to be noticed slowly.

How Noctis pieces are made

Every Noctis light is designed and produced in small batches in Australia. Forms are refined through prototyping, then 3D printed layer by layer to create the surface texture that becomes part of the glow. Each piece is finished, assembled, and tested before dispatch, a slower process, by design, so the final object feels considered, not mass-made.
